TIIC -Tagore Innovation &Incubation Cell- Motivation …

Our Honorable Prime Minister has a vision to make India a 5 trillion Dollar economy. To achieve this goal, we need a more organized and coordinated effort by different groups across disciplines and expertise domains. For the economy in the country to remain vibrant and self rejuvenating, it must be comprehensively engaged with the higher education system in the country. Creation of a large eco-system that freely allows horizontal interaction between students, faculties, researchers, industry and entrepreneurs is crucial in strengthening the country on the innovation front.

Taking the above facts into account, we have established the Tagore Innovation and Incubation Cell (TIIC) in our college as a small step to provide a platform for the stakeholders to exchange ideas, share resources, establish startups and develop networks to explore the unlimited possibilities that exist in our country to yield a focused economic growth. This cell aims to lead the stakeholders to understand the significance of innovation and to provide an insight on grooming the students to focus on innovation to become successful technopreuners.

As per the new startup and innovation policy of government of Tamil Nadu to start 5000 startups by 2023 with a special focus on MSMEs, our Tagore Innovation and Incubation Cell aims to set a target of “100 Days-100 Startups” by providing a support base for innovation for the stakeholders that will eventually map innovation with the learning process for the benefit of the society.

TIIC was inaugurated on 20th February, 2020 at the college auditorium. Ms.A.Sasikala, a renowned entrepreneur and Tamil Nadu State Secretary, Prime Minister Jan Kalyankari Yojna was the chief guest.
