The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, established in 1998 offers both UG (B.E – Computer Science & Engineering) and PG (M.E- Computer Science & Engineering) programmes. It provides an outstanding academic environment complemented by excellence in teaching. The department with qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty strength of Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors sufficiently caters to its requisite teaching and research requirements. Since its inception, the department has progressed with a vision and a strong commitment in developing competent programmers with uncompromising standard of excellence in training, both class room and hands on sessions. The department has well equipped computing laboratories and a rich repository of software covering a wide spectrum of applications. Various student organizations like CSI Chapter, ISTE Chapter, Linux and Open Source Community are actively organizing value added programmes throughout the year for the students. The Computer Science and Engineering department is headed by Dr. S. Surendran, who is well qualified and backed by rich teaching and Research experience. As a result, the department is producing consistent academic result with higher success rate and higher placement record in reputed companies like TCS, CTS, WIPRO, ZOHO, Syntel-ATOS, Mphasis, Virtusa, Hexaware etc., Alumni remain in constant touch and contribute in the development of the department.
The purpose of the Value Added Courses is to make you industry-ready. Providing the finishing touches to the knowledge you gain in your degree program, Value Added Courses will polish your skills and enhance your employability. These courses have been chosen after analyzing work profiles and job descriptions of various job roles in IT Companies. Students have to opt at least one course out of given courses during the day of Induction.
