ABOUT THE LIBRARY

The Central Library was started in the year 1998 along with the establishment of the college. Library is located on first floor and well spacious -ventilated building catering to the needs of Under Graduate and Post Graduate Students. The library is open to the Staff and Students from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on all working days. The library has a good collection of books which includes latest edition on Engineering disciplines and other branches of knowledge. The library functions under open access system with a total collection of 51290 books with 11812 titles. In addition, the library has subscribed IEEE / ASPP Ebsco information services India private limited, J-gate (management science) informatics publishing limited and membership of DELNET periodical subscriptions subscribed.

Library Automation:

The library has been using the Autolib software solutions for library automation with barcode systems using OPAC (Online public access catalogue), users can search the library online catalogue Author. Title subject and keywords. Also users can know the status of the documents.

E-Resource Centre(Digital library)

As part of digital library .Electronic resource Centre is functioning in the library. The center has WIFI facility and intetnet connections accessing staff and students IEEEE/ASPP and j-gate (Management Science) and DELNET Journal subscribed.

Rules and Regulation

  • 1. An Identity Card is issued to each student at the time of admission. Students are advised to carry their identity card in person while entering the college premises.
  • 2. The library will be open on all working days but issue counter will be closed half an hour before closing the transactions
  • 3. All students of the college are entailed to borrow books from the college library
  • 4. At the beginning of the academic year .each students will be give five books borrowers And on extra books issued semester exam class stopper
  • 5. Every student is entailed to keep a book for fourteen days /ever staff entailed to a keep 30 days (short time and on keep a book of 90 days for long time)
  • 6. Every book borrowed from the library shall be returned for 14 days on the date of marked on the due date slip. It will be reissued only once to same person for a further period of 14 days and staff no limited period. The books should be shown to the librarian at the of renewal.
  • 7. The librarian may recall any book at any time even before the expire of normal period of time.
  • 8. If a student/ staff fails to return a books on the due date a fine of Rs.1/- per day shall be leaved Sundays and other holidays being excluded.
  • 9. Absence from the college will not be ordinary accepted as an excuse for the delay in the return of books.
  • 10. All the payments with regard to library including fines shall be made to the college library.
  • 11. A student failing to return the books or pay the fine imposed or any other charge to the library will not be allowed to borrow the books will the book already due from he /she is returned and the fine paid cases of such a failures shall be reported to the principal.
  • 12. Students shall use all the library books with care. Marking underling or annotation in books are forbidden, disciplinary action will be taken against the students damaging /defacing books or journals in any manner.
  • 13. Books and library identity card should be returned to the library at the end of the academic Year
  • 14. In case of loss or damage of books the cost of the books shall be reimbursed with a fine double the amount of the cost.
  • 15. The student are responsible for any book borrowed on the library identity card
  • 16. The textbook reference can be consulted only within the premises of the library
  • 17. The last borrower will be held responsible for the missing pages scrupling underlining and other Damages in the books check the pages before leaving the counter.
  • 18. Daily newspapers periodicals magazines and reference books will be issued for Xerox to the students and staff on request and on production of identity card.
  • 19. Students should issue the periodical carefully. Any damage done to them must be making good.
  • 20. The students shall observe strict and silence inside the library and the reading room.
  • 21. No the students shall sleep inside the library premises or misuse the library and the reading
